Summer Cover-Ups

Summer's Here! That means it's fun in the sun, with plenty of beach getaways! :)
Part of that simple, yet chic wardrobe should be Summer Cover-Ups!
Whether strolling the beach, taking in a night cap or just doing some tourist shopping on your destination vacation, pick at least 3 or more cover-ups to compliment your summer style!

My favorite choices are the Maxi Dress for Boho Glam...The Sexy Tunic with Plunging Neckline and the Billowy Kaftan for an eclectic sexy look!
Be Chic!

Halle Sports Nicki's Pink Wig at Revlon/Run Walk for Women's Cancer

Unless you've been sitting under a rock somewhere, then you know Halle Berry is a spokesperson for Revlon Cosmetics.

Halle also Supports the Revlon Run/Walk for Women with Cancer.

This past weekend the Revlon Run/Walk was held in Los Angeles and Halle definitely made headlines with her Nicki Minaj Inspired look! Being in the Spirit of this well-known Charity Event, Halle sported a pink wig which has definitely been part of rapper/songwriter Nicki Minaj's signature "Barbie" look. Onlookers even thought the gracious beauty was Nicki as they passed by the event.

Always a sight for sore eyes, Halle captures us with her elegant beauty and style but how do we feel about this look?
YES or MESS?

Perfectly Pearled in Pink

This set is solely dedicated to one of my favorite Fashion Designers and Friends @DiaryofJoli' aka #JoliRichard!

I consider my personal style to be eclectic edgy, definitely dark and charismatically chic, a fusion of my personality and what I'm attracted to instinctually! However, Miss Joli' is Solely Sexy and Feminine! When I came the Pearl Petel Dress by Rare Opulence I was totally tapped into the Romanticism and Femininity of Pearls and the Color Pink! Two Very Ethereal descriptives for the Chic Lady: Pearls and Pink Epitomize Classy and Elegant!

As Diary of Joli tagline says  "Unlock Your Style", my muse was definitely Unleashed into Soft Womanly Luxurious Stylized Glamour!

Thanks Joli! XOXO

How to Dress Like A Young CEO

Last Week I had the liberty of being interviewed on Young Ceo Today. The Topic: Image and How to Dress Like a Top Ceo, if you didn't get a chance to tune in, here are a few tips for maintaining your image and looking like a top notch CEO!
It’s all about looking tailored, sharp and chic! You can add life to any outfit with accessories and your own personality, but when you are in a leadership position you must not only play the part, but look it. Image is everything and you never get a second chance to make a first impression!
As young people we often get overlooked because of stereotypes so to avoid them, your overall image will be your best defense. After all when you take on a leadership position you will be considered a role model so it’s critical to looking your best.
Ladies and Gents please take time to get measured very important rule of thumb and will make all the difference in your overall appearance.

- Invest in a good suit, you can always mix the items with other pieces for dressy/casual look. Black is usually Best and Safest Choice!
- Keep Jewelry in Low quantity and quality. Men: nice watch and ring. Ladies: Nice necklace, bracelet, earring (preferably  diamond, pearl or nice silver or gold stud)
- Make sure you have nicely polished shoes
- Make sure you are well groomed
- Men nice hair cut, shave and clean fingernails

- Women, make sure hair is well trimmed or pulled back for simple and clean look. Keep Makeup Simple and Clean, Have nicely manicured nails, light or clear color..no red nails, can be very distracting!

LADI CHIC's Top Influential Music/Style Icons

When Fashion meets Music, all kinds of Greatness transpires!

Many of today's Music Icons are also Style Icons, they get approached by some of the best names in fashion; who wouldn't want to have that luxury? Talk about living vicariously through someone's life; some of the most memorable musicians are the ones whose songs not only got into our heads, but whose clothes we want/ed in our closets. All the Fashionistas/os are forever on the sidelines researching, critiquing and admiring our favorites on the Red Carpet at all the Awards, and when we see them in concert.  Always in high anticipation to see who's wearing what, where and by who? While some artist tend to let us down, there are a few who undoubtedly find ways to keep it interesting, reinvent themselves and grace us with sheer delight when it comes to Fashion!

Here are Ladi Chic's top picks for "Influential Music Style Icons"

Beyonce
From Beautiful Flowing Gowns to Cat Suits, Beyonce always gives us something edgy, yet tasteful. Her House of Dereon for ladies with curves has made her a house hold name in Fashion.

Rihanna
One of Pop's Fashion Elite, she has graced the cover of a few top Fashion Magazines, and is a Cover Girl Spokesmodel.

Janet Jackson
We love her because she's Michael Jackson's sister, but when it comes to style she can definitely hold her own. From Futuristic, to Exotic and Ethnic, Janet has graced us with various versatile styles over the years.

Lady Gaga
Known for her mind boggling fashions, we are all kept in suspense wondering what this "Fervent Provocateur" is going to show us next.

Gwen Stefani
She lured us in with her modern glamour and vintage pin-up, which inspired her L.A.M.B. Collection.

Madonna
Even in her prime, Madonna still manages to reinvent herself with original and avant garde style, that sparked her to start her new fashion line "Material Girl".
