When you think of bridal gowns, the first
thing that comes to mind is a beautiful white gown.
I know for me the perfect bridal gown
would either be strapless jeweled flowing ball gown with a long train or
strapless empire gown with my birthstone (peridot) encircling the waist.
Now in today’s modern society, bridal
aesthetics are constantly changing… whether
it’s a skirt suit or pant suit maybe a muted color, the traditional gown
no longer has to be, depending on preference.
More recently, this Sunday for Fall 2012 New
York Bridal Fashion Week, Stellar Couture Bridal Designer Vera Wang, really
made an impact with her Black Bridal Dress Collection entitled “Witchcraft”
Very dramatic to say the least, the question that arises:“Is Black the New
White”?
The “Witchcraft” collection of gowns are absolutely gorgeous, no denying
that, however in my eyes they are more evening, than bridal. I can definitely
see them on the Red Carpet, but as far as the ideal wedding gown I’m sure they
may meet the criteria for some daring fashionista, just not me.
It will definitely be interesting to see
how other bridal designer’s will follow in the upcoming seasons though…
Will the Black Wedding Dress be a Trend to
Pass or can it become a Timeless Classic?
What’s your opinion?
these dress are so fierce...i dont know if i would wear them as the bride on my wedding day. but to a ball or formal event i would definitely rock it!!!
