I had the
wonderful opportunity to work a very talented Hairstylist, “Spikey Love” 2
weeks ago! Spikey owner and founder of,
Manipulated Styles (Your Destination to “GET SPIKED”!)
has always had an appreciation of the arts.
From Interior Design to Fashion/Wardrobe Styling, Spikey has dabbled in various
creative fields, but her passion for Cosmetology is yet another freedom of
expression where Spikey can indulge her visionary skills. Having been a driving force in the salon,
weddings, photo, movie and video shoots; Spikey has continuously worked on Per-Fecting
her craft!
Most
comfortable behind the comb and brush, Spikey’s secondary skill as a Makeup
Artist, is still one she’s honing. Proficient with creating beauty looks,
Spikey is in the process of mastering more dramatic/theatrical looks. Which I’m sure will become as effortless as
doing hair very soon!
Spikey’s
easy going personality and extreme “hustle-mode” work ethic will definitely
keep her innovative abilities rising to the ultimate plateau of success! Always open to a new and diverse clientele,
Spikey is all about Networking and Building her brand. Spikey recently started working at the Duane
Reade Look Boutique as a Ramy Cosmetics Beauty Advisor; and is currently
working on an upcoming indie film…Sky’s the Limit for the Beauty Maven!
When asked what advice Spikey would give to young beauty professionals
starting out , she replied “Be serious
and passionate about your craft, and always know that no matter how much you
achieve and how much you learn and grow along the way, there’s always an
opportunity to continue learning.” I
admire Spikey’s humbleness and willingness to see each connection as an addition to building the path of your career!
